Southern Idaho Solid Waste

The solid waste district serves seven Idaho counties - Blaine, Cassia, Gooding, Lincoln, Jerome, Minidoka, and Twin Falls.

The Southern Idaho Solid Waste landfill uses a gas-to-energy system to convert the gases released by the decomposing garbage into energy. The facility produces enough energy to power about 2,000 homes in the area!
